Introducing Lumatara: your personal command center

A tour of everything Lumatara can do — from world clocks and converters to full investment tracking — and how to get the most from your dashboard from day one.

Lumatara started as a simple question: why do I have five tabs open just to do basic things?

A clock for timezone math. A converter for a quick unit check. A calculator to run an SIP estimate. A portfolio site to see how my mutual funds are doing. A news tab for the morning reading. Each one a context switch. Each one a distraction.

Lumatara puts all of that in one place — a calm, focused personal dashboard that stays out of your way.

What’s inside

Clock & World Time

Add any city and see its current time alongside yours. Useful for distributed teams, remote work calls, and anyone who needs to track multiple timezones without doing the mental arithmetic every time.

Currency Converter

Live exchange rates for 150+ currency pairs, refreshed automatically. Type an amount, pick your pair, and get the converted value instantly. Handles INR, USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, and everything else AMFI tracks.

Unit Converter

Length, weight, temperature, and volume — all in one widget. No need to open a separate site or remember the formula. Type in one unit and see all conversions at once.

Financial Calculator

Three calculators in one widget:

  • SIP — calculate the future value of a monthly investment with a given annual return
  • Lump sum — see how a one-time investment grows over time
  • EMI — calculate the monthly instalment on a loan given principal, rate, and tenure

Pomodoro Timer

Configurable work and break intervals. Audible alerts. The idea is simple: work for 25 minutes, break for 5, repeat. Lumatara tracks your sessions so you can see how your focus time adds up.

Investment Tracker

This is the most powerful widget. It tracks Indian mutual fund and stock holdings with live NAVs pulled from AMFI daily.

You can import holdings three ways:

  1. CSV — upload a CAMS consolidated statement or a Zerodha Kite CSV export
  2. Zerodha integration — connect your Zerodha account directly (one-time OAuth flow) and sync holdings automatically
  3. Manual entry — enter individual transactions

Once imported, you’ll see:

  • Current value and invested amount per holding
  • XIRR (annualised return)
  • Absolute P&L
  • Portfolio allocation breakdown

Feed

Add any RSS source and your daily reading lands in the same dashboard where your work already is. No separate reader app needed.

Getting started

  1. Go to app.lumatara.com and sign up with your email — it takes under 30 seconds.
  2. You’ll land on an empty dashboard. Click Add widget to choose your first widget.
  3. Start with whatever you use most. The clock and currency converter are great first additions.

Everything is drag-and-drop resizable. You can add, remove, and rearrange widgets at any time.

What’s next

We’re working on Pro tier features: advanced portfolio analytics, sector breakdowns, P&L exports, and more broker integrations. If you want early access, keep an eye on the changelog.
